The Lincoln Restoration Committee started in September 2008. The Committee focuses on the Lincoln District of the Helena National Forest.
Overall, the group and the U.S. Forest Service District staff share a strong interest in getting work done under the framework of the MFRC Principles. The Committee also works under the guidance of its adopted Charter.
Additionally, most of the surrounding forest is a mixed-conifer, mixed-fire severity stand, leading to project work under Appendix D: Restoration Projects in Complex Forest Types.
