The Principles represent the \u201czone of agreement\u201d where controversy, delays, appeals, and litigation are significantly reduced.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; padding-left: 30px;\">The group published a\u00a0booklet,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/0B5jrNh3PiR96NzRhdHZsdlZDcVU\/view?usp=sharing\"><em>Restoring Montana&#8217;s National Forest Lands<\/em>,<\/a> outlining the process, restoration principles, and implementation.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; padding-left: 30px;\">Since the Principles were established, the MFRC created several\u00a0committees\u00a0to advance collaborative on-the-ground forest restoration efforts in Montana. Current committees are aligned with the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/bitterroot\">Bitterroot National Forest<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/helena\/\">Helena National Forest<\/a>\u00a0and the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.fs.usda.gov\/lolo\">Lolo National Forest<\/a>.\u00a0Additional National Forest-specific committees will be formed where\u00a0opportunities for collaborative efforts meet the\u00a0MFRC&#8217;s criteria.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; padding-left: 30px;\">The MFRC elected a\u00a0Steering Committee\u00a0to which it delegated day-to-day operational and executive functions, as well as strategic planning, fundraising and outreach.
