Occasionally the MFRC Steering Committee will submit letters of support in order to demonstrate our commitment to these programs and restoration of our national forest system lands.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:center;\">Southwestern Crown of the Continent Collaborative<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">In April 2010, a letter was sent in support of the Southwestern Crown of the Continent Collaborative Proposed Project, a proposal submitted under the Collaborative Forest Landscape Restoration Program (CFLRP).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Members of the MFRC helped craft the proposal, and the project embodies the restoration committee\u2019s guiding principles to restore ecosystem biodiversity and enhance forest resiliency on federal forestlands, while providing economic opportunity to rural Montana communities and retaining our essential forest products partners.<\/p>\n<h2 style=\"text-align:center;\">Forest Service Legacy Roads &amp; Trails Remediation Initiative<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align:center;\">Also in April 2010,\u00a0the MFRC\u00a0sent a\u00a0letter\u00a0in support of the Forest Service\u2019s Legacy Roads and Trails Remediation Initiative, which was developed to address water quality problems resulting from deteriorating and unmaintained segments of the Forest Service transportation system.<\/p>\n<!--themify_builder_content-->\n<div id=\"themify_builder_content-287\" data-postid=\"287\" class=\"themify_builder_content themify_builder_content-287 themify_builder tf_clear\">\n    <\/div>\n<!--\/themify_builder_content-->\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Letters of Support Many different programs exist or are proposed that help the Montana Forest Restoration Committee realize its restoration goals.
